The Eco Committee had to work really hard during their own break times to carry out these spot checks and I was so impressed with their eagerness and positive attitude to do so! A huge thank to you to everyone on the committee for this one!
We were looking for classes who:
1. Turned off classroom lights at break times (1 point)
2. Turned off the projector at break times (2 points)
And now for winners....
3rd Place - Junior Infants Blue
2nd Place - Junior Infant Green
1st Place - 1st Class Green
3rd Place - 3rd Class Red
2nd Place - 4th Class Green
1st Place - 6th Class Red
As a reward for first prize, both 1st Class Green and 6th Class Red win a Jenga party for their class.
Why Jenga, you might ask?
We chose a Jenga party as a reward because we wanted to remind ourselves that we can have fun, without using electricity or electronic devices :-)
Congratulations to our Eco Classes of the month! The children at Esker did so well on separating litter and waste in November that we had joint prize winners!
3rd Place - Junior Infants Green
2nd Place - First Class Green and Second Class Red
1st Place - First Class Red and Second Class Green
3rd Place - 6th Class Green
2nd Place - 5th Class Red and Third Class Green
1st Place - 5th Class Green and 4th Class Red
The junior first prize winners went on a school litter pick and the senior prize winners walked to Griffeen Valley Park for (slightly bigger) litter pick! Check out our photos to see more!
