November - The Construction Site and Painting Fun

This month, we are learning about the construction site. We are learning all about the crane, the excavator, the cement mixer and the reason why builders wear hard hats.

Some children have even been getting to know the tools that the builders use! Can you see us hard at work fixing things with the hammer?

We are working together to build using the polydrons! Here we were using one colour at a time we are working hard as a team and using our maths skills to sort too!

We are busy designing houses! The person who designs buildings is called an ‘architect’. How many windows do you see? We are taking turns to change how the house looks!

We have even been doing some free painting linked with Gaeilge. We come up with our own ideas and use na dathanna (the colours) that we already know! Ask us what colours we used to create our paintings? We know dearg, oráiste, buí, gorm, glas and dubh!
