Dear Parents,
I have attached Friday's activities. As you are aware would have been getting our Easter holidays tomorrow! Feels very strange to think of that when being in school seems like so long ago now. I hope you enjoyed the blog post of some of the lovely pictures that have been sent to me over the past few weeks. Don't forget to tune into the virtual assembly tomorrow!

As previously mentioned by Colette, the children were due to be on holidays so no school work will be uploaded over the next two weeks. The children can still do any of the activities previously sent if you wish. After Easter, if we do not return to school, we will be using See Saw as our way of communicating activities.
We have suggested some apps that the children can use if you wish during the holidays. 

• Starfall.com is a free app with lots of the activities we had been doing in school that the children loved. Select 'Kindergarten'.
• Storyline Online App has a range of stories that are read to the children.

• The Jolly Phonics App is great for revising the sounds along with games however there is a 'free trial' of the first six sounds and then to get the full 'pack' of 42 sounds its €6.49.

If you have any other apps you have found useful, you can email me and I can post them on the school blog.  Also a parent in Emma's class mentioned this website http://kidipage.com/  for colouring pages if you have a printer.

Even a scary shark came to visit!!

,I also really liked this one by a boy in the class which reminds us that by staying at home, we are helping each other and it will mean we will be able to see each other sooner!

Lots of fun going to an 'Italian Restaurant', making cool crafts and exercising with Joe Wicks.

Another boy in our class watched Don Conroy on YouTube and made this drawing of a clown. How cool! He even learned how to ride his bike without stabilisers! Well done! :D

It is time to say goodbye to the butterflies. I will be sad to see them go but know they will have lots of fun exploring the world and feeding on lovely plants!
​The red colour on the tissue you see is actually meconium which the liquid the butterflies released when they stretched their wings then they came out of their chrysalides.

Slán butterflies!! You never know you might see one of them flying if you go for your walk in Lucan!

I hope you enjoyed the activities for Monday. I have attached tomorrow's activities along with a Spring checklist you might wish to do. (I recognise that current restrictions are in place but it should be ok to do, staying in the 2km radius!)
Also it is time to release the butterflies, I will try to film it and post it on the blog!

It is almost time to let the butterflies explore the world! They have been snacking on flowers, nectar and cut up apples! 
I got some great name suggestions:
