We explored floating and sinking in science lessons, went on a fieldtrip to the local library and, of course, enjoyed our School Tour to Lullymore Farm!

​We loved the farm and especially enjoyed seeing the different animals, meeting the Neolithic farmer and making a wish at the Fairy Tree. We also had lots of fun singing and spotting the sights of Kildare and Dublin from the bus. Check out some of our favourite photos from Term 3 below, as we finish up our final few weeks before heading to 3rd Class!

We were lucky enough to have some rugby classes with Coach Luke from Barnhall RFC! We practised different skills, had lots of fun and even scored a try or two!

We have had lots of fun this term in 2nd Class Green.

​We have been embracing the cold weather - exploring length and area in the yard, a fieldtrip to spot some signs of winter in the park (with a quick stop by the playground!) and even some Winter Art.

We haven't forgotten the sunshine though - check out our performance of 'Mr. Golden Sun' using Lámh signs!

We have had a great start to our year in 2nd Class Green!

​In September, we learned all about life on a farm in the past. We explored this by making (and even tasting!) our own butter in the classroom. 

In October, we celebrated Diwali and Halloween. Check out our lovely Rangoli patterns below. Then, see if you can spot us in our costumes for Dress Up Day!

We have won the golden boot 2 weeks in a row! That means we had the most points for children walking, cycling and scooting to school! 

There has been some very exciting news in our school... Our teacher Emma from Senior Infants has new baby chicks in her classroom! We love visiting Emma and she kindly invited us down to our old classroom to see the new chicks! We are hoping that the rest hatch soon, they are so cute!

Before we finished up for midterm, we had an exciting dress up day! Have a look at our costumes below. We enjoyed the Halloween parade around the school and finished the day with treats and a disco!!

We were very lucky to have some parents help out for Maths Week. We enjoyed playing different games with them!

We have been working very hard in September and October. We have been learning about lots of new things such as making patterns, throwing and catching in P.E, performing puppet shows and reading in the sunshine.
