Persuasive Writing

• Look at page 92 on Word Wizard. I’d like you to create your own poster for a fun place you like. This place can already exist (Disneyland, Tayto Park) or can be completely made up, you decide! Remember convince me to go here by using your persuasive language. You can email me a picture of your poster to [email protected] if you'd like :)  
• Complete the cloze procedure (Word Wizard pg. 93, Q. D)
• Play ‘against the clock’  https://www.spellzone.com/word_lists/games-12904.htm
• Read the poem ‘Be Glad Your Nose is On Your Face’, learn the fourth verse.

Student’s choice:  Choose one of the following:

• Create a treasure map
• Make ice cubes from various liquids and see how long each takes to freeze.
• Put different amounts of water unto containers and tap gently to make music.
• See how many jumping jacks you can do in 30 seconds, take a break, then try to beat your score.
• Draw 20 rectangles and turn them into something (pizza,planets, wheels etc.)
• See if you can persuade someone at home to play ‘Times Tables Tennis’ (you get to choose which times tables you want to use 9) 
• Homework: See Aladdin
