Hello Everybody!
I hope you have all been keeping well and safe over the past few days! As we were due to be off school yesterday and today for St. Patrick's day anyway, I won't be too cross if the school work hasn't yet started in earnest! :-) Unfortunately, with all the parades and festivities cancelled, this is a different type of St. Patrick's day than what we are used to. However, children around Ireland have gotten really creative around this. Including one of our pupils who was featured in the articles linked below! They have gotten out the colouring pencils, paint and art materials, and they have put their St. Patrick's day art in the windows of their houses. Later, they will go for a walk and look at the art work in everyone else's house. It's like a reverse parade! In the St. Patrick's Day pack I gave you on Thursday, there were some pieces of art that you could put in your windows. This could be something wonderful for our class and school community to get involved in, and a great chance to get outside for a bit of exercise and fresh air later on! Keep and eye on Aladdin and the school website for updates! Sarah
