We used procedural writing to write the instructions for carving a pumpkin. We followed these instructions and worked in our groups to hollow out our pumpkins. Then we worked in groups to design a pumpkin carving. We worked democratically to choose features to combine our perfect design. We drew the designs on the pumpkins and then our teachers carved them for us.
