Esker ETNS and 6th Class Green are hosting a short ceremony to mark the passing of their classmate Arnas, who died after a long illness on New Years Day. We will get together to share our memories, happy, funny and sad, of Arnas on Wednesday 29th January, a day when he should have turned 13 years of age. We will look at photographs, sing a song or two and read a poem to help us focus on and remember Arnas' short but fulfilled life. Parents of 6th Class green are welcome to attend. The teachers who taught him and those who knew him well will be in attendance as well as members of the Board and the PTA. Arnas' brother and his aunt will be with us for the ceremony. Arnas' mother and father are in Lithuania but have sent us a beautiful message to read out to the children and the staff. They would very much like to be with us on this day. Following the ceremony, we will be planting a tree in the school grounds on Wednesday in his memory.
