We have been so busy the last few weeks here in school. It has consisted of our school tour to Explorium, our class play 'The Gingerbread Man' and lots of time spent outside!

As part of our Learn Together lessons, we had been learning about the different ways to look after our planet Earth. Have a look at our performance that we showed to the whole school!

We have been trying really hard to promote exercise in our class. We have won the golden boot 2 weeks in a row! That means we had the most points for children walking, cycling and scooting to school! 

There has been some very exciting news in our school... Our teacher Emma from Senior Infants has new baby chicks in her classroom! We love visiting Emma and she kindly invited us down to our old classroom to see the new chicks! We are hoping that the rest hatch soon, they are so cute!

We have been extremely busy the last while. Before we finished up for midterm, we had an exciting dress up day! Have a look at our costumes below. We enjoyed the Halloween parade around the school and finished the day with treats and a disco!!

We were very lucky to have some parents help out for Maths Week. We enjoyed playing different games with them!

Science Week: We have had lots of fun this week trying some new experiments. Take a look at our dancing raisins!

Welcome back to our blog, we are now in First Class! We have been working very hard in September and October. We have been learning about lots of new things such as making patterns, throwing and catching in P.E, performing puppet shows and reading in the sunshine. We are looking forward to getting involved in all the activities throughout First Class!

Health and Wellbeing week also brought back the very exciting 'Mile with a Smile' walk. This is a walk around our school grounds that takes place during special occasions. 

​Have a look at some of the other fun activities we did during the month of October. We learned all about the Supermarket as part of our Aistear theme and also about the festival of Halloween which is celebrated in Ireland and around the world on October 31st. We discussed the traditions of trick or treating, games like 'Bob the Apple' and also the many different costumes and clothes that people wear for Halloween.​

Junior Infants walked with Senior Infants, First and Second classes all around the school building for our Halloween parade to celebrate the last day before midterm break. We brought musical instruments with us to celebrate in our Halloween costumes!​ There was even a big dinosaur ringing a bell who was leading us in the parade! I wonder who that was...​
