The Croí na Scoile award is an award bestowed on one of our outgoing 6th Class pupils each year.
Croí na Scoile means 'Heart of the School" it commemorates our dear friend and colleague Paul Kilgarriff who tragically lost his life in February 2014. Paul was vibrant, kind and had a tremendous spirit, his zest for life and inspirational teaching, friendship and willingness to lead a helping hand to all around him will never be forgotten. We give this award in his honour to a pupil who though out their time as Esker has showed outstanding school spirt, a wiliness to get involved in all aspects of school life, kindness and friendship to all. It is a fantastic achievement that is voted on by all 6th Class pupils and Esker Staff. The votes are then discussed with the 6th Class teachers, Gemma and Colette.
