Mother Tongue Week

We held the most beautiful Mother Tongue Week this year. The week involved a number of parents coming in to the school to speak about their culture or read a book in their home language to a group of children.
At the end of the week we celebrated Esker Cultural Day, we had an incredible turn out of parents whose arms were laden with treats from all over the world. Each class had a chance to sample some of the food. We also invited parents in to visit their children's classroom and many stayed to try the delicious food that had been brought in. All in all it was a fabulous day and we are so thankful for our parents for all their work in making Mother Tongue week incredibly special.
