Online Learning
Everyone has been doing a wonderful job so far. Well done !!!
After the Easter break we are going to move our online learning to Seesaw and Edmodo. We will still update our school website with helpful links, hints, ideas and tips and share on our Twitter page and Aladdin Connect will be kept for important announcements. But long term we believe that pupils will need a platform where they can engage with their teachers more freely and closer to how they would in the normal classroom environment.
Once again we would like to remind everyone to be kind to yourself and those around you. We do not want to place additional stress on pupils, parents or teachers in this already stressful time. Do what you can, with the resources you have but don't feel you have to get to everything ! The most important thing is the health and happiness of your family. We will be here to support you.

Edmodo

5th and 6th classes have already been using and engaging with Edmodo this year. It is a platform that is already working really well for them and suited to their class levels so we would like them to continue to engage with their teachers on this platform for at home/online learning.

Seesaw
|
Going foward we would like all other classes, Junior Infants to 4th Class to use Seesaw for at home/online learning. We feel that long term it will be more suited to the needs of these classes.

Seesaw is an extremely user-friendly platform that can be used by teachers to engage pupils in meaningful learning.
- Children will be able to comment and view others comments on threads the teacher has posted.
- The intention is that they can connect to their classmate in a safe and moderated forum.

- Your child will use the Seesaw Class app for home learning. This is different than the Seesaw Family app.
- If your home device is a tablet or phone, download or update the Seesaw Class app in your device’s app store. The most recent version of Seesaw is required for home learning. App update is required!
- If your home device is a laptop or computer, visit app.seesaw.me

- Your child will receive a Home Learning Code, watch the video or view the one-pager below to help them sign in.
