I miss school!So do we!
Keep interacting with us on Google Classroom & Seesaw and sending your teachers pictures and videos of your work. We really want to connect with you all and keep in touch. We’re trying to create opportunities for the school to come to you. Like our live online assemblies. You can take a look at our assemblies here. Our next assembly will take place on Friday 15th January at 11am. Other events will also be emailed to you through Aladdin so we can stay in touch. Take a look at our schedule in our Upcoming Events section. Where can I get information in my language?Remember we have a translate function at the bottom of our website. Follow this link to get information on Covid-19 in Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, English, Hindi, Kurdish, Macedonian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Urdu and Yoruba. Over 20 doctors, and other healthcare professionals, from around the world, but living and working in Ireland, have voiced the video messages.

We want to make sure that we all keep in touch and stay connected. Where should I get reliable information? The best place to find up to date and accurate information is here.
The HSE has lots of reliable, up to date and accurate information on the virus in Ireland. If you need information in another language have a look at NASC Ireland. What is the RTÉ School Hub?We think RTÉ are doing a great job. They have brought a group of teachers together to teach lessons in a classroom each day.
You can tune in here. We think it is a great way to keep all your children learning at home along side work and activities that your child's teacher has set them on Seesaw or Edmodo. |
I am having login issues. Please email your child's teacher if you cannot log into Seesaw or Edmodo.
If you are having trouble logging into Aladdin or have changed your email address or phone number please contact [email protected] & [email protected] |
I'd love some extra ideas for my child. |
I'm not a teacher, I need some tips!Don't worry! You have this! Remember you were your child's first teacher.
If you do want more help the PDST has put together a series of articles on the Irish Times website to help parents. They offer some valuable pointers to parents across a range of different learning areas. Click here to see one of the articles which looks at fun ways to help children learn how to measure time intervals. |
Where can I find textbooks? We have sent books and packs to as many families as is possible but we can no longer access the school building.
If you need something please contact Linda and we will try to get it to you. Teachers will include images of book pages on Seesaw and have come up with creative ways of working. These publishers have also made access to online copies of books for free. Click here to see the list of publishers and learn how to login. |
How do I manage my wellbeing? |
News Mag Media |
Our wonderful school councillor Michael Ryan has made a really helpful video to help you manage your wellbeing during this very strange time. We can spend so much time worrying about everyone else but we need to take the time to care for ourselves so we can care for our families. Great tips for parents and children.
Thank you Michael! Click here to watch the video in a new window or press play. |
News Mag Media have created three magazines for children aged 7+ 10+ and 12+ there are a whole host of activities attached to each magazine for children to dip in and out of and even a full weekly timetable if your little ones are racing through their school work! They contain news, sport, puzzles and STEM written in an age-appropriate manner. It is a safe and fun source of information on the world in which we live.
You can find News Flash for 7+ here. You can find Primary Planet for 10+ here. You can find for Epic 12+ here. |
I'd like some help with Gaeilge. Why don't you try downloading the DuoLingo app on to your phone or table Most of the children are familiar with it and can work on their Gaeilge through the app. Children in 6th class might like to try a language that they are going to learn in secondary school.
Also TG4 have their own school hub running daily called Cúla4 ar Scoil. You can watch episodes here. |
It's June, how about some outdoor fun!In June we love to take our lessons outside and we also look forward to Sports Day. Why not get involved with the Healthy Kidz Sports Day this month.
They have four weeks of fun activities that you can work on with your children and step by step videos on how to set up the games. Why not ask older children to set up or adapt the activities for younger children in your garden or when you go to the park? Check out their website here. |
PE with Joe WicksThe Body Coach is doing live 20 minute PE lessons on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We think these are a great way to start the day before your school work. I think it is a good idea to watch the classes live if you can to make a routine but don't worry if you miss one. You can watch them back on YouTube.
