The caterpillars have been super busy forming their chrysalis! Some of them were able to hold onto the lid of the tub but I guess some of them must have gotten tired so they’re chilling out on a little piece of kitchen paper. I wonder what will happen next? 👀🦋

Dear Parents, I hope you all had a lovely St. Patrick's Day! Aoife and I have put together a sample timetable of activities for next week to help in structuring the day for you and your children. Please use it as it suits you. A reminder email me if you have any questions - I am here to help! Regards, Emma
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Our Caterpillars are on the move.....I wonder where they're off to? Check out this video about the life cycle of a butterfly. Chat at home about it. What stage comes next?
The caterpillars are busy making lots of silk at the moment. Can you spot all 5 of them? Check out this little video of them walking you can see how they are such good climbers with all those legs! If you don’t like creepy crawlies this is a very close up video 🐛 🦋 feel free to skip it! During the week we were thrilled to have Rang a sé in for some buddy reading for Seachtain na Gaeilge! Bhí said ag léamh as Gaeilge linn! Go rain maith agaibh. 🍀 As well as that we have been working on our comhrá and our múinteoir is ar bís with all of our progress! Maith sibh do na beirt cailíní anseo ag caint faoin an zú! Cad atá sa phictúir? Our Caterpillars are growing so quickly. Everyday they are getting bigger and bigger! It won’t be long until we see them form their chrysalis so watch this space for updates! Week 1 Week 2
Some of the children brought in their teddies and dolls from when they were babies today. We talked about why we loved them then and our favourite toys now that we are a little older. Thank you for bringing them in to visit our busy classroom!
This week we will be investigating the dancing raisins! First the children will predict what will happen when the raisins are put into the 7up - will they sink or float? Then we watch and talk about what actually happens! Our results are recorded on worksheets. Sorting, patterns, counting and more counting! This month we are learning about the Doctor’s Surgery. We are playing in role and we have been busy making our own hospitals! Check out our role play area - we have been pretending to be the patients and are using the waiting area to take turns! The doctor asks us ‘what’s wrong?’ And we tell them what is bothering us. The receptionist takes phone calls and makes the appointments to see the doctor! Here in junior Infants Green we are learning to work together. Our teacher is blown away by our team work everyday! Ask us: what treatments can the doctor give to someone who is sick?
