Photos of your work from home
I was so happy to get these photos of fantastic arts, crafts and writing that children from Senior Infants Red were doing at home.
Keep up the good work everyone!!
Maths addition dice games
Here are some Maths addition games that can be played with dice. The children will be familiar with some of these games from our daily Maths centres. These can be printed or it would be easy enough to recreate them yourself if you don't have access to a printer.
International Space Station
The International Space Station (ISS) passed over Ireland last night. It was a very clear night so we could see it in the sky. It looks very like a slow shooting star, check it out!
Tuesday 31st March
Tuesday's suggested plan is attached below.
I have received some lovely photos of children's work and fun things they are doing. I would really like to see what the children are getting up to. Letting your child know you are sending photos to me could be a great motivator for them. Send on photos to email@example.com.
Keep up the good work,
Monday 30th March
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Below is Monday's activity plan. Again choose what works for you at the moment. I would love to see some of the art, construction and written work that the children are completing at home. Take a picture of your child's work and email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will post them on our class blog. I will not post photos of individual children just the work they have been doing.
Stay at home and stay safe.
All the best,
Friday March 27th plan
I hope you found some benefit from Thursday's plan and the children enjoyed some new activities. Below is Friday's plan. If you are unsure of anything or want to ask any questions email me, email@example.com between 10am-12pm tomorrow.
All the best,
Your Home Learning Pack
With the news that schools are going to be closed, we are anxious that we need to continue with teaching and learning in Esker Educate Together. However, we also want to keep the connection between home and school. This pack aims to let you know how I will be interacting with you and your child(ren) over the coming months.
We have to look after “happy” and “safe” before we look at “learning” so please don’t feel under pressure! Engage as much as you can. Not every family will be in a position to participate in Home Learning activities. As a staff, we understand this and value every family’s decision equally. There is no obligation on families to complete the activities we will suggest. Everyone's main focus should be on keeping safe and healthy.
Things you need to know:
Suggested Timetable for your child(ren)’s day
Please keep in mind!
This suggested timetable and plan is to be used as you wish to suit your family. You can pick and choose when and what you do with your child according to your household. It is to provide support for you and your child’s learning but is not meant to cause added pressure or burden at home. Remember to take plenty of breaks to suit you and your child.
Your child(ren) have been sent home the following books and I will pick work for them to do:
If you do not have any of these books at home, you can access them online in the following way:
Any other questions?
Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.
At home activities 23rd-27th March
I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the nice weather. I have attached the grid for home activities and homework for this week. As Colette said in her email last week this is not prescriptive and is just a guide for you to follow if desired.
Be sure to log on to Twinkl if you want more resources to choose from. Setting this up is really easy to do - go to www.twinkl.ie/offer and enter the code IRLTWINKLHELPS.
At Home Activities
I hope you are all keeping well. Below are activities to be completed this week, as posted on Aladdin.
From next Monday onwards I will post a daily timetable with suggested activities and useful websites.
Keep up the good work and be sure to add in outdoor activities each day too.
Take care and stay safe,
