We assigned the 6th Class pupils the task of sharing their wonderful talents with us over the past few weeks as part on an online talent show. There was no shortage for entertainment here because we had such fantastic artists, chefs, musicians, problem solvers, jugglers, balloon sculptors and more! Here are some of the entries that were shared to us on Edmodo. During our class Zoom call we watched the videos together and even managed to interview some of the participants. They told us about how they practised for many hours and spent their time during lockdown putting in great efforts to perfect and master their skills. Well done to all participants and thank you for sharing your talents with the world! https://youtu.be/hFVm7OWDuW4

Over the past few weeks 6th Class Red and 6th Class Green have been listening to podcasts and audiobooks online as a new way of learning. We thought it would be fun to create our own podcasts and share our experiences of life during lockdown! So, we recorded some short podcasts based on a series of questions we thought would be important.
These podcasts can be used as primary sources of evidence in the future when people are learning about the Coronavirus, quarantine and what it was like to live through a global pandemic in Ireland as a 6th Class pupil. Many things have changed, but we hope that these podcasts give you more information about what it was like for children during these strange times. Maybe we will even share them with our own children some day! We hope you enjoy them! |
