Hello everyone, I know I say I am blow away by our assemblies every week but I think this one topped all of them, if that is even possible? We spoke about the return to the school building for junior classes, parents remember to check Aladdin and your email and our website for up to date information and always wear your mask correctly on school grounds, covering both your nose and mouth. We learnt about the Global Goals with Paula and looked at a well managed forest. We had Birthday Shoutout's with me. We had OWL'S with Catherine. We had our favourite InterColm and we had a very special episode of our Outdoor Learning series with Susan and some very special guests, you don't want to miss this one! We hope you all enjoyed it and can watch it back again here if you missed it. We hope you all have a lovely weekend and get outside and enjoy the lovely Spring weather. We will see the junior classes in the school building on Monday and senior classes online. Stay safe everyone, Katie

We hope you all enjoyed it and have a lovely weekend. We are so impressed with all the wonderful work you are doing on Seesaw and Google Classroom so keep it up! If you missed assembly you can watch it back here, unfortunately I started recording a little late today but there is still lots to see. Have a lovely weekend, Katie Hello everyone, I hope you have all had a lovely week. We are so impressed by all the amazing work you have done already this year. Keep up the fantastic work, we are so proud of you all. We had our second virtual assembly of the new year today. It was great to see all our friends. Thank you to Suzan who presented us with our second 'Outdoor Challenge.' I love seeing birds in my garden and I am going to make her bird feeder today! If you would like the Bingo card for Susan's challenge you can find it on our Home School Hub here. Remember to join in Class Zoom's with your teachers, SNA's and friends next week and join in on Zooms with your SET teacher's, it is a great way to stay connected and they might even give you a shout out for your work on Seesaw and Google Classroom. Stay safe, Katie Hi everyone, We hope you all had a lovely, restful and safe break over the holidays. Well done on completing our first week of online learning for 2021. We had our first Virtual Assembly of the year on Friday. It was so lovely to see all our friends again and be together. You can join our whole school Zoom every Friday at 11am. If you missed this weeks Zoom you can catch up below. Katie It feels like on yesterday we had our last assembly! How time is flying and now we are into our last month of school before the holidays.
Well done to everyone for all your hard work. If you couldn't join us live on Friday or need another look at our competitions now is your chance to look back on our assembly. Enjoy! Take a look back at our 4th Virtual Assembly! I cannot believe we have already had four virtual assemblies!
We love keeping in touch every 2nd Friday with our whole school assemblies. It is so lovely to see the whole school in one place. On the weeks we don't have a whole school assembly we have a Class Zoom to chat with just our class. We also have get togethers for the cast and crew of our musical and Zoom calls with SET teachers and SNA's. Everyone is adapting to classwork on Seesaw and Edmodo. Keep up the amazing work everyone! Take a look back at our most recent assembly on the theme of happiness and don't forget to enter the latest POW competition. WOW!! That was another fantastic assembly. It was so lovely to see so many of you online. I loved the story that Catherine read, the music that Etaoin and her husband played and the the beautiful slide show and all the lovely messages and birthday wishes and of course the wonderful video of our fish from Barry. There was so much to be grateful for including our fantastic new GREEN SCHOOL FLAG!!! Well done to Gemma, Paula, the Green School Committee, The Eco Committee, all the teachers, SNA's, Barry, Suzanne and all the pupils and teachers who have worked so hard to make sure we achieved our Transport Flag. Take a look at all the hard work on their blog pages. Check out the recording of our assembly for anyone who missed it and anyone who wants to see the Junior or Senior POW again. Remember to send your answers to gemma@eskeretns.ie and don't forget to explain to her how you solved it! Also the stars of this weeks assembly, our fabulous SNA's!!! Maybe they will lead us in the dance when we are all back in school!!! Before the Easter break we brought you our first ever 'Virtual School Assembly'. On Friday we stepped things up for our second virtual assembly and made it live !
It was so lovely to be able to see and speak with you all. We hope you really enjoyed it. For anyone who couldn't join us on Friday or anyone who wants to re-live the assembly we recorded it and you can see it in full below! We love our assemblies at Esker. They are a chance for us to explore the Learn Together curriculum, showcase our learning and get together and celebrate our wonderful school community. We are all missing one another right now so our teachers got together to launch our first Virtual School Assembly! As long as our school stays closed we will post our assembly here each Friday. This assembly was pre-recorded but we are working on a plan to stream future assemblies live so we can all interact with each other!
We will tell you when to play the second & third videos! Stay safe, enjoy the assembly, we miss you! Video 1 - Virtual Learn Together Assembly 03/04/2020Video 2 - Hand WashingVideo 3 - What a Wonderful World |
