We did a Science Experiment this week where we looked at how raisins and carbonated water react. First we drew our predictions of what would happen the raisins when they were put into the 'fizzy drink'. We watched as the raisins began to dance! It's a great one to try at home with our budding scientists!

As part of our history lesson this week we read a story called 'Where's My Teddy?'. We brought in our own teddies that we have had since we were little. We compared some of the toys that we play with now and that we wouldn't have been able to play with as a baby. Our teddies were so good at listening to the story!
Making sets of four this week during Maths stations. We used lots of different objects to make our sets!
We are loving our new Aistear Theme for January- The Doctor's Surgery. We have been in role as doctors, patients, nurses, pharmacists and receptionists. There has been lots of broken bones, tummy aches, earaches and a need for injections! We also have had our Doctor's Surgery in the small world where we designed our own Doctor's Surgery. We had waiting rooms for the patients, a doctors bed so the doctor could look after the patient and a reception area. We even built hospitals and tall towers in the construction area. Check out the lanterns that we made in preparation for our first ever Ethical Assembly Performance! We sang a song about Chinese New Year and taught the classes about things people do to prepare for the Lunar New Year.
