Applying to secondary school.

Parents and students should apply to at least two/three schools as often children do not get a place in their first choice of school. Please be advised that school places are over subscribed in the Lucan area, so the more schools you apply to, the better chance you have of getting a place for your child.

To apply you will need your child’s birth certificate and proof of address. Some schools also require a deposit, this will differ between schools. Please look at the website of each school for further information about that school and their admission policy.
